Coolant not activating?

Hello all,

 

On the 1st operation my coolant code(M8) is functioning but not on all the others. The M9 is showing. Post problem?

do you have coolant from tool or?

is it selected in the tool edit page?

in the machine group properties turn off use tool step peck, and coolant.

In your toolpath operations make sure you have "coolant on" in every toolpath.

The coolant is on in the toolpaths. I'm on V9. Any help?

So, you do have coolant ON in the parameters for every tool

and an M8 shows up on only the first tool,

but you do get an ‘M9’ on all the tools?

 

First guess…

The ‘M9’ output is hard-coded in the PST, so the PST doesn’t “know” that the coolant was turned off and if it is not OFF, there is no reason to turn it ON – ‘cause the PST thinks it is ON!

 

Second guess…

There is some other (but similar) type of logic failure in the PST.
