Fanuc 31i-A5 Post Question

My company is expecting delivery of 2 Fanuc Robodrills literally any second now. In anticipation of getting them, I was going to try and start editing a post processor and creating a machine and Control def for it. Does anyone know where I can find the actual G-code and/or operating manual online to help me get started? If not I guess I will just wait til it gets here and pull out the manual. It would be nice to have it in electronic format though so that I could access it anytime without haveing to go get the book.

Thanks,

Robert

Without seeing it, I would think a stock MPMaster would be a very good starting point.

I did a Fanuc 16 post for a Kitamura(MPMaster) for a company and they use it on their brand new RoboDrill with very minor edits.

Soon they will be looking for a tweaked RoboDrill post and I at least know I can start with that.

Well we got the machines in... I have a manual now. Looks pretty similar to what I have except the M21/22 codes "CT Coolant" on machine = "Rotate Table" in post. So here comes the trial and error part. Sometimes I wish I didn't know so much. Wouldn't life be easier to just play dumb and let someone else do all the hard stuff? LOL

I only use N numbers at the tool change position simply for ease of program restart, no other reason at all.

They may not create a visible end of block, the carriage return acts as one and will trigger an EOB statement upon program download

let me rephrase that... the default "mpmaster" machine definition generates N words and not end of blocks. I said it was the post. The machine def overwrites the post in that area anyway. I know how to change it, i just want to make sure that I should.

No EOB there but one will be when loaded into the control

The carriage return/Line is not visible but it is in code.
