Recommended Posts

You should get your post to use n_tap_thds$ from the tap def for feed/rev output:

if met_tool$, pitch = n_tap_thds$  # Tap pitch (mm  per thread)

else, pitch = 1/n_tap_thds$ # Tap pitch (inches per thread)

Then just let the feed calc in Mastercam from the tap info and spindle speed, and leave it alone. Cycle time estimates will improve.
