CIMCOEdit

Hi,there:

i use CIMCOEdit to send NC file to controller.When machine's on work the file can't be sent.I set-up another computer on site and copy the Cedit folder from my computer.The operator can load program from a share-driver.It works good for couple months.Last week the on site computer warning HASP needed,when operator open the CIMCOEdit.

Could i fix-up?

Any suggestion will be welcome.

you have to buy a stand alone version of Cimco. it's a pretty reasonable price though.

 

copying software is bad

It used to be with mastercam 7, or 8, I don't remember for sure which. That the license of Cimco gave you permision to copy it to one other machine. I am not sure that this is the case anymore. I would also ask the question? If you bought 3 seats of mastercam 9, and then bought 6 seats of mastercam X, can you use cimco on all 6 seats of X. It doesn't ship with it anymore, so you don't really get a license for it.

 

Just wondering.

I don't think i'm copying software.It's the problem which the In-house solution guy leave it to us.They should set it up together with Mastercam x.

Quick note...

 

Earlier versions of CIMCO Edit distributed with pre-V9 MC versions authorized users to copy a license to another PC. With V9 users were required to have a valid MC HASP on their PC to run CIMCO Edit. Copying CIMCO Edit OEM to another PC was no longer possible. However, we did run a promo so users could purchase an upgrade to the full license of Edit 4 at a discounted price.

 

When X was released it no longer included an OEM version of CIMCO Edit. We offered another upgrade promo on (this time on Edit 5) that ran for about six months - we even advertised it on eMastercam for at least three months.

 

We are currently running a another promo on Edit 5 in North America that ends March 1 (2007). Please contact Lisa at In-House and she can get you a quote on a full license.

 

In anticipation of more questions, if you are interested in finding out about the promo in North America please contact your MC Reseller. If they don't know about it, have them contact us.
