First Time Install advice

Our company has just joined the Mastercam X2 family. We have about 10 multi-head CNCs, Shoda, Heian, single and double table routers in two factories 60 miles apart, with two or three people generating code. I am asking for any advice on good ways to keep posts organized (lots of unique machines), file naming/revisions, custom tooling…. (we are networked) So if anyone has one of those “If I could do it over” stories, please. I want to take these ideas and make a company How to Manual. Thanks to anyone who replies.

paul, welcome to the forum.

 

for each machine definition you create,it also has its own post and libraries that is unique for that particular machine.you just select the machine you want to use.look at the transition guide and getting started in your documentation.it will help you alot.
