Anilam XZ/YZ Arc Output Problems - 3300mk

Hello All,

I did a search on this and it has been covered but it wasn't exactly what I am looking for. We have 2 Fryer VB40 mills with Anilam 3300mk controls. I am using the post that came with the install cd and everthing is working great except the xz/yz arc outputs. MC is posting conversational code which is great but the arc plane code is G18/G19 which alarms the machine. My filter settings are correct but I can't get the correct conv. code from the manual. Does anyone know the correct string for the arc planes or can give some direction?

Thanks, headscratch.gif

If I remember correctly, the Anilam Crusader, 1100 - 3300 Series do not support non-XY arcs.

Our 1100 doesn't support them so we simply tweaked the settings to convert G19 and G19 arcs to point-to-point.

I don't recall which do and which don't - but some certainly do support arc moves in the different planes.

Does just removing the 'G18' or 'G19' code from the program allow it to run OK?

If so, you should be able to eliminate these 'plane code' outputs by altering the PST ->

Note: Knowing exactly which PST you're using would help here.

code:

# Plane codes

sg17 G17 # XY plane code

sg19 G19 # YZ plane code

sg18 G18 # XZ plane code

sgplane # Workplane G code

Change to ->

code:

# Plane codes

sg17 # XY plane code

sg19 # YZ plane code

sg18 # XZ plane code

sgplane # Workplane G code

* As always - Save a backup copy of your PST before making any changes!
