Mcam X noob question

I am trying to use X more and more lately and have a question. I have a program I wrote with V9 and I opened it in X. When I go in to just change a tool number, it automatically changes the depth cut and multipass settings I had in the original program. For instance, in my original source file I left .01 for a finish pass on the depth and in multipass. As soon as I just switch the tool number those values are now leaving .25 for finish. Please enlighten me how to change this in X so it leaves my original settings. Ty.

Do you have use tools depth peck coolant checked? If so, MC is overiding the settings from the tool definition.

Yes it is checked. Should it be?

If it is, its going to replace those operation settings with the settings defined in the tool when you reselect the tool (or change the tool number).

 

If you uncheck this option, I think it should leave the information as it was, but it won't automatically insert those settings if you create a new operation.
