Wire Library

jbert,

Do I need to have a PL for each material thickness?

I'm going to guess the thickness can be entered into the machine manually as our Fanucs are. On our Mitsubishi wire I enter the thickness in the toolpath parameter and I can see it in the posted program at the beginning.

So I would really doubt it for the Sodick.

In that case I probably would set up another library. I can see the Sodick is different from I'm used to.

Uncheck associate to library

Place the settings you need for ea. pass for 1 inch.

Save the power library and enter a name so you can identify it easily. To do this (I'm at home now) click on get power lib or is it just power library and then you can save it as a new name.

But you can only do this if it's unchecked for associate to library!

I doubt if you need to enter the feed rate as the machine may do that automatically.

In the middle box for pass one enter C612

See if that shows in the posted program.

Sorry as I'm just throwing info up here that isn't real accurate for the Sodick since I don't have one but it may get you stated some.
