generating a radius on top of pocket

Is it possible to generate a radius on top of pocket with entry level mastercam x2 with vmc?

Do you have some geometry you can share.

 

I can think of several examples of a radius on top of a pocket, some you could, some you could not.

yep! u can

 

use the swept 2d toolpath

 

u can create any simple profile with it!!

When I co to Wireframe, Swept 2D toolpath operation from the toolpaths menu it pulls up the chaining dialog box as asks me to select the across contour and I am not really sure what is looking for.

it is looking for the profile to create along a path - in your case this would be the radius you

are trying to generate - create this radius -

then it will ask for the along path which is

the path the tool will travel along to create the radius - think of taking a radius guage and

passing around tha top of a box
