rollover angles

If you are using the MPMaster post

There is a switch in it in the Rotary Axis Settings section

code:

one_rev : 1 #Limit rotary indexing between 0 and 360? (0 = No, 1 = Yes)

That should keep you from going over 360°

And what tool path are you trying to accomplish the "rollover" with?

Sounds to me like you really are looking for signed direction output (something needs to tell the machine which direction to rotate to get from A355. to A5.).

All Generic Fanuc 4X Mill.pst derived post processors (if it reads the MD, it is most likely based off of it) support signed direction output (including John's beloved MPMaster). The output from these posts are determined by the rotary component settings in the machine definition.

Unfortunately, this was not available in older MPFAN based posts (or most other pre-X posts). It's not terribly difficult to add the logic needed for this type of output if you do have an older post but I would look for help from your reseller.

The one_rev switch in MPMaster effectively forces the post to output as an indexer (0-360 degrees) for plane positioning (as opposed to full rotary) motion when the rotary axis has been defined as full rotary . Gen Fan 4 has the same type of setting:

force_index : no$ #Force rotary output to index mode when tool plane positioning with a full rotary

I'm using 5-axis multi surface cutting 4axis mode with the C axis. We have a Matsuura with a 30i control and it has a parameter for rollover. If I don't use rollover at the end of this tool path the C axis is over 100,000.0degrees and it wants to unwind for the next tool path, big delay.

We use CAMPLETE software for posting to this machine and it has an option for rollover also. I've tested it and it works well. I want to have a post for MC that is compatible.
