On the tool registration page on the control instead of calling a tool number say 15 you call it 9015 then in your program call T9015 M6 and it will always isolate that tool from all others. Any tool number from 0001 to 0999 is a small dia tool, any tool number from 1000 to 8999 is a medium dia tool and any tool number from 9000 to 9999 is a large dia tool. The book is real vague on all this but after you read it about 50 times it starts to make sense.

9000 tools will also toolchange slower. I believe 7000 will keep either side of the pocket open but will change at normal speed. Might want to double check that though. It's been a few years...

I love mori's. used to work with a mv45/40 with a Yasnac MX2. Random toolchanger -swell. On this machine you needed to input tool diameters in the setup page so the control would know what tools not to put next to each other. Large, small, large small...etc. used to chuck large tools right out of the pots and out into the shop floor. manual toolchange is another option.
