i have 3 vises on my vmc. Vice 1 is G54, Vice 2 is G55 and Vice 3 is G56. I have all the operations done for the part, but my 3 vices are located differently on the vmc. How do i use operations already done, so they can be used for fixture G55(which will have a differ zero) and fixture G56(and also differ zero).

This are the steps i took in mastercam. All my original operations are G54(i changed in t/c plane).

So i did a toolpath, transform, method toolplane. Work offset numbering (maintain source operations).

In the Translate window, X steps will be 1. In the right side column(pattern origin shift/world coordinates) will have the X,Y,Z coordinates of fixture G55.

Then i repeat the above for fixture G56.

Is this the right way, to work with fixtures in mastercam v9? confused.gifbiggrin.gif
