Drilling a straight hole in PVC!

I have a nightmare job on my hands. I've tried alot of different methods, speeds, feeds, etc... I have to drill a .047 dia. hole in Gray PVC Type 1 2.00 inches deep and it cannot walk! It intersects into another .047 hole. I start the hole with a carbide circuit board drill then a carbide jobber drill. Then I have to use an aircraft drill to finish the depth. Any recommended feeds and speeds, methods, etc...??? I cut a part in half and it looks to me like the material is heating up which is causing it to start to walk. Any thoughts appreciated.

Nick,

here's alum numbers, try cutting the feed and speed in half,25% rapid and coolant not flowing to hard against drill. We found the coolant was pushing the drill and causing walk.

So no matter what, you can only approach this from one side of the part? It's not a tube is it?

I take it as a retangular or specially shaped part not hollowed but with an intersecting hole .047 at the bottom 2" depth of hole.

I would maybe 1st try to size the hole @.045 with a reamer, especially since a reamer has straight long flutes. Then size it to .047 with another reamer if it's that fussy.

Just an idea.
