MASTERCAM LIMITING FILE ACCESS

We are currently running mastercam X2 at our machine shop and we store our MCX2 files on a server so if a different programmer needs to they can access them. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or knew of a way to make it so either it notifies you that someone has the current file open elseware. Or make it so only one user may have the file open at the same time. My gaol is to prevent someone from accessing a file and making changes and saveing it at the same time someone is making a different change. Thank you.

I know of "change recognition" in the "file" pull down. But I don't think it will tell you if its open elsewhere.

File locking... is coming... That's all I can say... (and I'm likely in trouble just for saying that )

Do a search for Repository software,there is a good one out there but I can't recall the name It's about a thousand bucks,but there is also some open source stuff on Sourceforge.net.The software handles file versioning,check in, check out,read only and permissions.
