ROTATING PLANES

I just created 45 degree plane around without issue.

 

I set in TOP/TOP, I rotated T plane 45 degree and named it, rotated that plane 45 degrees, it became front, as expected, rotate 2 more times all as expected, the 225 degree plane came out correct.

 

I would make sure you hit ALT+F9 and turn on the planes so you can visually see, and make sure you are actually rotating the top plane or at least your created 180 plane and not the bottom plane by accident.
