Engraving Fonts

I am trying to engrave a customers name with a cursive script and having problems. Conversion to geometry from tru-type creates complex multi wall geometry. My goal is to engrave Charley in a smooth single line similar to a handwritten signature. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi can you share the font that you get or should I say the geo to see what you are getting?

Hello Charley, Glad to see you on the forum!!!

 

True type font "ScriptS" is the closest I've found to what you want. It can be modified pretty easily. I put a file up on Jay's FTP site under MC8 files,'Charley.mc8'. It should help. That font came from MS Office 97.
