Memory Allocation

I need to understand more about the database and toolpath allocations. We have several seats of mastercam and many users have changed these allocations. Sometimes when you try to open these files on a different computer, you get a database allocation error. It then says that it is going to reallocate, and doesn't open the file. You can then reopen the file and it works, But the alloctions have all changed. So my questions are how to use this files on different machines? How much allocations should I use?

(will my machine use all the ram I have available or only what is allocated by mastercam?) What is the least amount of RAM that my machines have for Level 3,(most of our seats) and for Solids?
