Solids V8

I am new to solids and would like to know how to extrude and make the part look solid.

primitives

now give it some sizes.

 

or create a rectangle

then go to solids

extrude

chain the Rectangle

then a window will popup asking to to create or cut or so on.

use create body

then you can give it a depth.

Please contact your dealer so that you can go through some Mastercam training. This forum is a great tool for users to go to with specific questions, but based upon your question, I'd recommend a training class - you'll be productive much sooner.

Welcome to the Forum. PDG is correct. The best way to get up and running with Solids is to schedule training with your reseller. Solids is so much easier to deal with than surfaces and wireframe. It takes a little effort to learn but once that is done, you can do amazing stuff with it. I had a student create a four-lead Acme ID thread cut in one of their parts after attending our Solids training. Have fun.

I thru a few thoughts out to get started but there is so much more this could work to be the longest thread ever.
