  1. MC is a great cam pakage ,too bad the people dont want to teach it or relay info. I want to thank Cadcam and Scott Bond for the patience you have shown. The rest of you insecure jag offs know what you can kiss BOBCAD RULES
  2. Apparently there is a problem with some people on this forum who want to segregate the intermediate users from the experts. I used mastercam in an educational enviorment. As such, solids were not available. I have a demo version of MC 8.0 and would like to know more about solids. If that is a problem on this forum, then it is stratification and has no place in industrial society or elsewhere. Productdevelopmentguy You foot the thousands of dollars for me to go to training, and I'll smoke you.
  3. Why is it that when I do 4.x4. block in primatives, I cannot extrude and remove material such as material in a bolt hole circle?
  4. Hi folks, I have created a 4.0 x 4.0 square with chamfers on the corners and extruded the base to .500 thick.(I created contour using wire frame and transform translate, to desired depth.) Using primatives, I place a 1.00 boss right in the middle. Using Toolpaths, contour, solids, chain, I try to pick just the base for contouring. MC picks the whole surface including the boss(which I want to save for another operation.) How can I pick just the base for a solids tool path? Thak you very much you've all been wonderful
  5. Hi folks I am a rookie at MC with motivation to learn and utilize solids. I will be posting rookie question of the day. Please be patient with my ignorance. Rookie question of the day: Is it useful to try and transform translate a solid to a known previously created point ex. X0. Y0. Z0., Rookie Sausage
  6. I am new to solids and would like to know how to extrude and make the part look solid. thanks Sausage
