O/T Fanuc Help Please!

Hey all,

I have a dilemma in that a guy thought it would be funny to edit lock the 9000 parameters and then put a password on the lock. But the dumb@#$ forgot what he made the password.....someone please tell me that backing up the SRam and reloading isn't my only option, Please.

sorry forgot to say it was on a Mori MT machine with a MSG-501 control.

According to my sources you're SOL. Reloading the ORIGINAL parameters is the only recourse.

 

 

You may want to confirm with someone high up on the food chain at FANUC because I just talked to a field guy.

 

I'd fire the guy personally. ON THE SPOT!!!

 

Certain stuff is cool to mess with, like changing the language on the screen, and axis lock, (very funny by the way ) But passwords, locking stuff out, BIG NO NO because the consequences are so great.
