my company purchased mastercam 7.2 mill1 back in 1999 to program a cnc router (Stiles router model nc-431p-2616 with fanuc control series 15-ma) for one reason or another they have not been able to track down or recieved with the software the proper Postprocesser. Is there a liberary of posts available where i might get one,or do you have any ideas on how i can track one down? So my company can finally get some payback on its investment. Thanks for any help you might have for me.

If you have multiple heads and multiple tables that can either run "slaved" (two tables running together making the same motion simultaneously) or in single mode then MPFAN will not help. To get a post that will take advantage of these features will require quite a bit of post customization.

Posts configured as such generally are not free with the software. What comes with Mastercam "out of the box" are GENERIC and require customization for various features(such as mutiple heads/spindles, mutiple table support, vacuum support, etc...). Though MPFAN right out of the box(except for turning off the rotary stuff) has worked on Mori Seikis and Haas. So give MPFAN a shot and see what happens.

Your best bet though is to contact your local MC Reseller and see if they have any soutions. Now IF you recieved a customized post from your reseller when you purchased the system, then they most likely have a backup copy. Either way, contact them and they shoudl be able to help you out.

Hope that helps.
