I am using X3 with a fadal post. Opening step files converted from Pro-e. All are simple 2d programming.

Some of my arcs are are posted using g2 and g3 but some are single point moves making for Huge files.. Is there something That i can do that will make this easier. I have been told to not to use the iges coverter from Pro-e. So i figured the step files would be better to use.

What causes this?

I have searched with limited sucess.

Thanks for your time.

You are getting splines/NURBS

Turn your filter on, the defaults are pretty reliable. You should also turn the linearazation tolerance down to a .0001

The other option is to use Edit >> simply to see if you can change the nurbs to arcs
