Lathe verify

I am using X3 and if I have a rough pass of .05 or more the verify will stop on collision. Could someone tell me where that setting is so I can change it. I do have the tool path parameter set at .200 depth of cut.

I did try that..

 

Just got done with a small mold insert and im still getting a collision in the verify and im not taking more that the insert. (only .025 per side)

just never had this in X2 and do like to use it.

Are you verifying the tool holder, because MC does a xxxx poor job of displaying ID tools in verify.

 

I assume this is an ID roughing pass

I just spoke with CNC Software and was told that X3 now displays ID boring bars correctly.

Hey Ray, Yea I turned off the holder and works fine now. I guess I dont remember that before but thanks.

Just be careful that your retract won't crash in the actual part as you machine it.

I no longer have a Lathe license but am interested in knowing how well you can define the boring bar.(especially round boring bars)
