CATPart file

I get from my customer a file with the extension CATPart file

I suppose this is a CATIA file.

Can I send this file to somebody to convert in a Mastercam file please?? Could also be in iges or another format that can read in Mastercam

I dont know if I can open those in SolidEdge or not, but put it on the ftp and I'll give it a shot.

There is a zip file in your folder containing your parts.

 

I will say if you get that many to convert regularly, you should consider contacting your reseller for the translator

I thank you very much. I agree with you if I need it more times I need the Catia translator. This is my first time with this type of file.

 

Question: Is posible that when you convert to MCX you change units from metric to inch?

 

Now I merge all the files into a metric file and get my metric files.

You can just scale them at this point, XFORM >> Scale

 

I just checked, using the Moldplus convertor you can import based on the solids "units"
