problems importing solidworks file

I'm trying to open a solidworks file that has

solid models placed on the fixture and I want

to put toolpaths to the models but when I

bring them into mastercam I already checked nohist in the config box but file has about

1500 entities listed in the levels manager

when all I want to import is the 2 models

and the tombstone.How can I decrease the size

of this file so I can work with it.

No-Hist removes the Solid History. The number of entities you are seeing are probably the edge curves.

 

You could delete all wireframe but that probably will not decrease the size of the file much. You may want to try running RAM Saver on the file to see if that shrinks it a bit.

export it out of Solidworks as a parasolid file and import THAT in Mastercam.
