File Transfer Settings for Yasnac LX3

I would like to know if anyone else has ever had trouble configuring the communication settings between the Mastercam editor and a Yasnac LX3 control from a Hitachi Seiki HT20SII lathe.If anyne can help please let me know.

If you are using X2 MR2 or later, I would suggest trying to use Cimco instead.

I am using X3MU1. I have tried the Cimco editor and I could send but with an 077 I/O error and when I receive it just shows a lot of letters but the post was made by Multi on the lathe, I wasn't sure if that makes a difference or not. I have gotten other DNC programs to work , but they needed a packet delay to send properly and I cannot find that setting in Cimco.Thank You for taking a look and let me know if this info helps with any other suggestions.

In Cimco go to Transmission --> DNC setup. Click the Setup button. Then click on Transmit. Here is where you will find EOL delay setting.

Hi Brian,

 

The other thing to note with the LX3 Yasnac control is that most of the time they ship from the factory without the software handshaking turned on. Often one will find them set at 1200 baud and a line delay. Take a look at parameters 6026-6029 bit 5 i believe is for RSCB codes. Make sure DC1-DC4 codes are on.
