Did I Miss Something Here?

I updated X3 to MU1 (I hadn't been using X3 much, and decided to get up to speed with it).

I went to convert my *.LMD file, but it says "invalid or corrupt file", and wont update (I used the instruction of "import directory" suggested by CNC software. I also note, that in any selection dialogs for X3 MU1 on my system, it lists *.MMD, *.RMD, *.GMD, *.WMD, but for lathe it lists *.* (no LMD). That seems weird to me. Has anyone else struck this?

Update "on the fly" is no longer an option. It was removed between X3 and X3 MU1. There were crashing issues associated with it.

You'll need to use Import directory, here is how I do it.

you can copy your control definition and post processor to the directories where you will use them, then, using file import directory, point to where the machine definitions are located and where you want the updated definitions to be placed. Source and result directories cannot be the same directory.

The thing with File Import Directory is you can not choose only a single file, only what is in a directory.

This does make it a bit of a pain but I create a blank folder called whatever on the desktop and the C:/mcamx3/cnc mchines folder, I put the .lmd in the folder on the desktop and then do the import, then just move the .lmd from the new folder to the main cnc machines folder.
