I bought one of these from Costco a few months ago:

..as a JobBOSS workstation. I ended up installing Solidworks 2009 and MCX3 just to see how it performed, and it was very acceptable. I went down to Fry's and spent $129 on a Quadro FX370, and the performance is VERY good for a $830 dollar computer. I'm not doing any 5 axis stuff, but I've got some pretty complex parts with 200-300 opeartions, and it runs verification on a fully detailed .STL of the raw stock, fixture, and tombstone quickly with no problems.
