Turning an OD NPT Thread

I am having trouble trying to figure out what I should turn the OD to for a 1/2-14 NPT taper thread. I know the pipe size is .840 and the taper angle is 1.783333 deg, but at the end of the piece what should the diameter be? I can find all the pitch diameter info, but none of the major OD info that I need to turn it too. It's probably really simple, but it's killing me! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Go to Lathe Toolpath, Thread, Thread shape parmeters, Pick from table, select 1/2-14, use Draw Thread. Then, draw a line from small end of major dia. to large end of major dia. Trim your .840" line to that line. Maybe draw a chamfer at that start as well. Just using the tools that Mastercam provides! cheers.gif
