mpmaster peck drill for HAAS

Hi

I am here again with another post question

First off I have Mastercam V8.1, a HAAS VF3 and am using the mpmaster post. When I make peck drill operations the 1st peck and subsequent peck depths do not work when I post. The post just uses the 1st peck depth for the Q value which is just an inctemental cut in value. What I want is it to use the I,J,K for the peck depths. This hasn't been a huge problem but it is costing some cycle time which I I would like to save.

(I have better things to do than wait around here )

Anybody know how to do this?

You need to add in the mpmaster post under the drilling definitions:

 

ppeck #Canned Peck Drill Cycle

pdrlcommonb

pcan1, pbld, n, *sgdrlref, *sgdrill, pxout, pyout, pfzout, pcout,

prdrlout, *peck1, *feed, strcantext, e

pcom_movea

 

behind ...., *peck1, ..... add:

*peck2,

Make sure the spaces between each definition are maintained when you add this.

 

This will give you the second peck distance.

Thanks for the info finecut! It helped alot I just had to make a couple of other changes to the post so the peck drilling would use I,J,K instead of the Q. Seems to work fine now.
