determine why my sub programs have an extra 2" added to them

We are horsing around with sub programming and cannot figure out why we are getting an extra 2" added to Z everytime it moves to another offset. Clearance is not turned on and should move at .6". I will post the example.

Well then that explains it: Z2.6 - Z.6 = Z2.0

 

This is where the error is coming from. You could try returning the machine to it's home before calling a new coordinate system (G91G28Z0).

How are you writing your subprogram? What's the Z value in your G56, G57... values?
