converting dwg/dxf to mc8

hello..

 

sometime I make / got drawing from extention *.dwg or *.dxf file.

but when open it in mc8 (converting) some time drawing doesn't complete.. meaning some of line or caracter missing..so I must edit the drawing

before execute with mc8...

 

does anyone know the cause is?

please give me some solution

Jhony,

Put the file back into autocad and use the explode command on all the drawing. Then resave and bring it back into mastercam. That should clean up at least 99 % of the problem.

 

Some of the geometry is not supported in a dwg/dxf format. By "exploding" the geometry it breaks it down to the basic lines, arcs, ect.

jhony what version are you using.

V9 supports Alott more then V8 does when it comes to this.

 

Now that I read one of your earler post. update to 8.1.1 this will help you to with this issue.

look under Patchs on this site for te diffrencs.

 

you will see a link to V8 patchs and another link in there were it will go over some of the details.
