Hello All.

I'm trying to achieve the following code (working with the mpfan post).

The first operation is a roughing pass

The second operation is a finishing pass

What I'm getting at the beginning of the

second op (finishing) is this:

M01

M00

T1 (TOOLCOMMENT-----------)

(OPERATION COMMENT)

(MANUAL ENTRY COMMENT)

What I would like is the following instead

(NO M01 ---I DON'T NEED IT AT THIS POINT)

(BUT IT HARD CODED AT PTLCHG)

M00(MANUAL ENTRY COMMENT)

T1 (TOOLCOMMENT-----------)

(OPERATION COMMENT)

Any ideas?

BTW: i'm editing the mpfan that came with V8

Thanks in Advance

Chris

# "M01 ", e - do thins in the post.

At the manual entry tool path, put something in the comment, or single click on the operation so that you can then type something in.

You can also do your toolpath, go to the 'Canned Text" button on the first page of the operation, check the check box, and add an M00 before the operation.

Hope that helps.

Thanks James.

But I was trying to say that the manual entry

text was in the wrong place for me.

For example:

M0 (RELEASE AND RECLAMP PART)

T1 M6 (1/2 ENDMILL)

(FINISH MILL OUTER CONTOUR)

I would like to be able to split the two comments

as shown

The (release and reclamp comment is in my manual entry toolpath operation)

and the (finish mill outer contour) is typed right in the actual 1/2 endmill operation.

it just seems that I can't split the comments

up in the code
