M-codes for parts catcher. Where

do I make the changes so the cut-off tool will insert Parts Catcher Forward and Retract M-codes? I haven't the foggiest idea where to start looking for this. Thanks.

Are you asking if you can have a specific M-code being called up when you are using a special tool? So you call your cut-off tool and that triggers the M-code for the catcher?

Use canned text in the cut-off paramaters page of the cut off cycle. We use it here all the time - works great. You may need to change the actual code in your post.

Lars: It isn't a special tool. Regular cut-off, but on the Lynx I need an M10 to raise the part catcher and an M11 to retract it after the part cuts off.

 

cncguy: I see the canned test option on the parameters page, but I can't type in anything once I open it. Also, where would this text be in the output?

cncguy, thanks for the reply and triple thanks for the pics! Will try it as soon as I have a chance. Sorry about not replying sooner. Computer has been giving me fits. Tech has been in twice, plus working remotely on it several times the past few days. Hopefully it is good to go now.

Can get it to put out one code only, not both. I've tried several combinations.
