  1. Jeff, Ask for them to do a "Save As.." and select "Detached Drawing" then you do not need the SolidWorks part file with the SolidWorks drawing file. Best regards, Lars
  2. Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes. Terry, you are such a social media buff. Dave, please call. I will do what ever I can to help. MotorCityMinion, SW is territorial like Mastercam, but some resellers do cross there lines, so there is a possibility that there is a reseller in your area that sells both products. Programinator, Thank you, the position is filled (check your email).
  3. Friends, I have accepted a position at our local Solidworks reseller as an application engineer, and are powering down my Mastercam seat. I'm posting this in the main forum in the hopes of reaching as many of you great people. I can not thank you all enough for all the help, laughs and tears we have shared over the years. This place is truly magic, keep up the good spirits. I will for sure miss this place. Again, Thank you all so much. Lars (Almost 1500 post in )
  4. Greetings people, Immediate opening for a CNC Programmer/Lead Person in the Rochester, NY area. You will have Mastercam X4 and Solidworks 2010 on your desktop. In addition to that you will be supporting a great production team, and a machine park containing 4axis Horizontals, 4axis Vertical, pallet pool, Matsuura, Kitamura, Haas, air conditioned etc. The company is growing. Interested? Drop me a line. [email protected]
  5. ruger2, does it look right using backplot? there is a "tool tolerance" field in the verify menu that is pretty high by default if I remember correctly.
  6. You need to scale your tool profile to 1" in your Mastercam file, then control the actually tool size in the Mastercam Tool Manager
  7. Hi Malo. from the Mastercam help. Automatically (based on geometry) Allows Mastercam to set tool rolls depending on the presence or absence of a tool containment boundary, and in some cases, on the geometry itself. If you define a tool containment boundary, the tool rolls over all surface and/or solid edges, both between surfaces and the extreme edges of the part. If you do not define a tool containment boundary, the tool rolls only between surfaces and/or solid faces. Only between surfaces (solid faces) Rolls the tool between surfaces and/or solid faces only, but not the extreme edges of the part. See Tool roll motion on surface and solid edges. Over all edges Rolls the tool over all edges of the surface and/or solid, both between surfaces and at the extreme edges of the part. See Tool roll motion on surface and solid edges. Best regards, Lars
  8. Hey Roger is here wfcPain, with Roger present, I just recommend you do what he says
  9. Try, code: peof #End of file for non-zero tool ptoolend comment pbld, n$, "G23", e$ if nchsub > one, [ " ", e$ " ", e$ mergesub$ clearsub$ ] pbld, n$, "M02", e$ "%", e$
  10. Worth a crap.... you get some or nothing at all? Have you tried "Create Curve on all edges"?
  11. I don't think I have enough caffeine in my system to completely overview your situation, but what if you created a 2nd WCS for OP2 and just used that?
  12. Don't know the answer to your question, but I believe that mmouse chook on cadcams FTP could be your solution
  13. That is one of those that sounds kinda funny.....When it doesn't happen to you I would defiantly contact my reseller or email [email protected] with that one. If that happened to my tool library, I do think I would have a tear in my eye.
  14. No idea why. I would probably try to do a clean Mastercam re-install. If still having the problem I would update graphics and mouse drivers.....If that did not solve the problem.....Then I would call my Mastercam reseller for help.
  15. The post is most likely set up to do one or the other. 0-1=G92 2+=G54. It all takes place in pwcs I do believe, where mi1$ > 1. then G54 else G92. I do not have Mastercam running on this computer and I'm not sure if you can just "hard code" your G92 line in the pwcs without its getting repeated all over the place. Hopefully Roger shows up here minutes and share his great knowledge. but I will be happy to mess with it tomorrow at some point.
  16. Sorry my response sucked, I was just referring to the coloring aspect, drawing the custom tooling works well as Dave pointed out.
  17. Need to handle more than one solid part for me to even consider using it, since I am bringing in Solidworks assemblies of tombstones with multiple parts mounted on.
  18. Recognize it like in Verify? no, but beside looking pretty, do you need it to?
  19. I also use Odells procedure but I agree with kunfuzed, it seems kinda silly that I model something in Solidworks where engraving is part of the feature, for then "slap"(like that expression ) mcx text on top. Now I know that Mastercam only gets whatever Solidworks hands down to them, in regards to converting Solidworks files into another format (like mcx) and I would not be surprised that sketch geometry might be pretty secured and locked up by Solidworks.
  20. Unless you have "Mastercam inside Solidworks"
  21. I have a Camworks font that write like "stick" in Solidworks, but since it is a stick you can not extrude it, what means that your writing stays as a "sketch" entity. Mastercam only brings in the Solids from Solidworks, so I think you are stuck.
  22. I got This from our Mitsubishi FA 3 Phase 402/210 Voltage 15 KVA 50/60 HZ
  23. Dave and Ron, Awesome stuff, thanks for sharing
