Milling A Pocket

Hello Everyone:

 

I am trying to mill a pocket. I have set everything up similar to when I face and drill. But when I try to check out the tool path nothing happens. Double click on the tool path and then I click on the play icon. When I face and drill the tool simulates the route. When I try to create a pocket it doesn’t.

 

I would like to know two different methods.

 

First, plunge from

X,1.000 Y,1.000 Z-.1

Z+.1

X,1.250 Y, 1.250 Z-.1

Z+.1

Etc.

 

The other method would be

X,1.000 Y,1.000 Z-.1

Y,2.000 Z+.1

X,1.000 Y,1.000 Z-.2

Y,2.000 Z+.1

 

I am going to try to attach a copy of pictures hoping that will they help? I don’t see where to attach a graphic (Screen Shot) can you also tell me how I can do that.

 

I hope I did this right. I am still new to MasterCAM please bare with me. I am using X2.
