Mastercam Lathe Machine definition

I am having a hard time with the Lathe machine definition with X3. My service rep wants me to pay for maintanance but my company is not spending on tools right now. I have a simple lathe converted to CNC with the spindle on the left and the cross feed in front and tailstock on the right. Am I wrong in assuming I can get mastercam to display when using a top veiw the tool path cutting stock with the tool entering the bottom of the screen instead of the top? What should I set up for the tool post (there is no turret). I can't find good information on the selection of components and setup to define my machine and the arcs and threading are off.

Thanks,

Bob
