Hi all,

I'm usally not one to be asking questions...but i'm in ahurry andhave several tasks to accomplish right away so here goes. I'm writting a part on a 4th axis rotary rotating about x. I thought i had everything set right in my post but it seems like the rotations are backwards. i.e. 37.541 should be at -37.561.... also rather than going beyond 180. or beyond 360 plus on the bottomside of my part i'm getting -212.814 instead of 147.814 so what gives? is there a setting i'm not covering in my post? I feel confident all my tool planes are set up right. Any help would be appreciated!!

Will

not knowing the post you are using, it allows the user to define whether the 4th axis rotates cw or ccw.

The ctol value (set usually at 225) also has a lot to play with it. I use the mpfan post for everything and re-write it but for wind up I steal the post block of "pcoutrev" completely to rest at 360 degrees.

Let me know if it helps........ cheers.gif

yes it was the rotate cw versus ccw. I'm using mphaas with a bunch of custom configs. I actually found the answers I needed by searching the forum history.

Special thanks to Dave Thomson, James Meyette, gcode, toby, and someone named DennisN for their previous input on the same topic.

Sorry, I should have searched first then posted.
