Solidworks 2010 x3 mu1

I'm running x3 mu1 using solidworks 09 models. Now design suddenly upgraded to 2010. I know the solidsworks patch is not yet avaiable for x4. Two questions. Will there be a patch for x3 and can I use 2010 models at this point with out upgrading to x4. X3 has more features now then I will ever use and every time I switch versions it takes me a week to get everything working right. I think I will wait for x4 mu2 to upgrade but for now I need to load solidworks 2010 models.

X3 will not be able to open 2010.

 

X4 MU1 "currently" cannot open 2010, with the release of MU2, "shortly", X4 MU2 will be able to open native SW2010 files.

 

In the meantime getting a parasolid file is the way I would recommend.

Had design convert to parasolid xb. Works fine. Will wait for x4 mu2 to upgrade Thanks.
