Printing from X4

I have a solid on the screen shaded with brass but when I print it out it's jet black and you cant see the shading. Any idea's? Thanks. Oh, laser B/W printer.

Not to Scale Workaround = screen shot, paste in paint, and print from there.

Some printer drivers have the option to force output to color grayscale. That used to lighten up B/W shaded printing for me. But I'm noticing the same thing in X4, that even light colors are darker and the grayscale option is not on my driver anymore???

 

Pasting out of the screen shot doesn't work well inless you change the backgraound color to white before taking screen shot...then it wants to change all color 15 to somethung else...PITA.

Old print driver? I print all the time with shaded solids, both in Color and in B/W. No issues here except that the picture comes out looking a little faceted. I think that has to do with my shading chord tolerance though...

You could also try installing a PDF printer driver that prints to a B&W PDF document & then print that. I use CutePDF Writer. Its free.
