Multi-Axis VBScript Tool

For those who have an interest, I've written a Mastercam VBScript that is useful for people doing Multi-Axis work.

It's GET_Multi-Axis.vbs and it's in the VBScript section of the FTP site.

ftp://mastercam:[email protected]..._Multi-Axis.vbs

It allows to you select a line segment in MC and then calculates the unit vector components along with the rotary axis angles based on the rotary configuration you select.

It's a useful tool for helping to debug posts as well just getting your head around unit vectors and compound angles.

If nothing else, it will show people how vectors are actually calculated as well as how rotary angles are calculated from unit vector components.

Keep in mind that it uses EIA/ISO standards for axis addressing and signage.

Not all Machine Tool Builders follow these standards so this script should only be used as a reference for those with non-standard addressing and signage.

It can be easily modified to accommodate Machine Tools with non-standard configurations (ie. Haas, etc)
