Adding Custom Icons

Hey, Does anybody know how I can add a custom icon to the upper toolbar in mastercam? I edited an existing icon, but I don't know how to get mastercam to assign the Icon to the specific function ( It appears mastercam did'nt assign an icon to begin with ) . All I have on the upper toolbar is the key #, and would like to have an icon present instead. Can This be done?

BTW , the function is for "Modify-surface-trim-Flat bndy"

You need to determine the "name" of the function to know what name to give your icon (.BMP file)

First, goto Screen->Configure->Toolbar/Keys

Find the function you want in the list.

Now assign that function to an unused Toolbar position (Click the Add button under "Current Assignment")and select an unused ToolBar position. (Note the 'B' number!). Now exit config. and save the MILL9.CFG file. Load the MILL9.CFG file into a text editor and search for the ToolBar 'B'utton number you used. (example -> B85) Note the 'name' after the question mark on that line -> 2385. (B85) assignment? tsfbnd

That is the name you must use for your .BMP icon file!

Hey Roger, I know that doing anything with the text file is pretty much frowned upon because if you do the wrong thing...... eek.gifeek.gifeek.gif

But with that said, perhaps something like your procedure or better yet, in the help, give a listing of all the functions and their names in the software so that it is easily accessable. Waddya think? I'll send the request to QC as well because I've run into this before for some functins not listed anywhere (i.e. File, Converters, AutoCAD).
