Volume 1 Curriculum

Recommended Posts

We have just finished the first chapter of the Mastercam Volume 1 curriculum. I went to correct the quiz and can not find an answer key anywhere. I have found the answers for volume 2 on the instructors CD. Am I missing something here?

We paid $4500 for this curriculum, i sure hope there is an answer key somewhere.

do any of you know?

Nope. Tom is right. There is not an answer key for the Volume 1 curriculum.

We didn't really think of that, since the quizzes are lifted directly from the text, and we just assumed all instructors would know the answers either off the top of their head, or after reading the chapter.

I talked with Mike Frieman about this today, and it looks like I'll add that to my "TO DO" list.

As far as the price of the curriculum, have you taken an calculator and back of an envelope and calculated how much it would cost your school to pay you to develop and maintain your own curriculum?

It's great that your school valued your time enough to purchase curricula and let you spend more time with your students. Working directly with the students is a lot more fun than writing curricula, and the real value you bring to your students. You cannot be replaced with a CD-ROM.

FYI I got the answers to the Vol 1 quizes to Mike Freimann at CNC Software. I know he's swamped right now, but will try to get those out asap.

I noticed there are a few missing dimensions on a couple of the prints, and we'll correct that with the next version.

In the back of the Instructor Guide is a suggestion form, as well as my email address. Please always feel free to report errors, suggestions, etc. We constantly upgrade the curriculum and look for ways to improve it.

Best wishes,

Charles Davis
