quickpart simulation

I install techno mill machines that use mastercam mill to create projects. I also install quickpart on most computers. Sometimes when I create a project in quickpart the simulation in quickpart is out of scale. The engraving tool is way too large and the shape of the rectangular project is too thick. How are changes made to the simulation.

Quickpart uses MasterCAM's verify with the settings selected by Quickpart. I'd look at the way the stock is set up in Quickpart for clues.

 

You can, before you run verify, change the stock settings by clicking on the 'Optons' button on the far left side of the Verify toolbar.

Often times when you change settings in the mastercam configuration this messes up quickparts ability to function properly as it was designed to work "straight out of the box". A classic example of this is setting up your contours with wear and left comp and leadin/out and saving it in the config will make the engraving be incorrect. If you want a special configuration while using mill v8.1.1 thenyou need to save it as something other than mill8.cfg and then load it when you start Mill8.

When you run QP3DV8 you need the mill8.cfg to be set to the standard default installation settings.
