Extruding 3Dface

The file is called "skin for cover only contour", and is on the FTP site in folder "convert to mc". I am sorry but I can only give you the outside contour, due to privacy issues with our customer. The contour is the outside of the upper face. This has to be converted to a 3D face then extruded down 10mm. The file is metric. I have tried cooning the face but MC8.11 keeps crashing. Might be a conversion problem. Thanks for trying, and a bigger thanks if you succeed.

I created a Coons Surface, then created a sheet solid and tried to thicken it and it would not go, just sat there foa about 2 munites then I gave up (boy I'm impatient). This was probably related to the overlap Glenn spoke of. I only spent about 5 minutes on it so I didn't really get INTO it. Should be possible though.

More than likely, you'll neet to create a Solid Extrude Body with that 2-D Shape more that the 10MM you want, then create a surface and trim the solid to the surface, and you should be in like Flynn.
