Toolpath Transform Translate

I am having issues with the operation mentioned above. It does not work, especially when I try transforming an operation that is transformed itself. At first I thought it may be because of some complex geometry I had, but I have the same problem with simple geometry too.

The operation order changes in the "twice transformed" operation, and the option to Group NCI Output by operation type or order is greyed out.

I can get around this by copying geometry and rechaining, but there should be an easier way.

Machrina,

In Transform operations, the "Group NCI Output" switch will only work if you have more than one source operation selected. How are you attempting to translate the transformed toolpath? Have you tried copying the source operation instead of "create new ops and geo."? What are the rest of your parameters? More specific information is often needed to supply more appropriate help. Could you upload the file to the FTP so we can look it over? HTH cheers.gif

I have uploaded a copy of the file that is giving me trouble. You can see the toolpath transform translate does not finish all the parts (it should be a 3x4 matrix of parts). The file is:

ftp://www.ppcadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/MC9_files/toolpath transform prob.zip

Surface, I am aware that sometimes the Output NCI order button sticks. Usually I just click on the Translate tab and then go back to Type and Methods.

I uploaded your file back to the FTP site. It's called BABY DRAGON CASE fix.zip. This should do what you want (I think). If you look at the parameters in my transform op you'll see what I did. HTH cheers.gif

Oops! redface.gif I forgot to switch the Group NCI file by operation order. If you switch that in the parameters it will do all operations on one part before moving to the next.
