Lathe Verification

I am using 9 sp1

Why is it that when you enter an "i.d." value on

your job set,it does not seem to recocgnize

it when you go to run it in the verify?

Another words, the stock that shows up in verify

is a solid pc. and not a tubular shape that I

described in the set up process.

When you go to run your "bore bar" it shows up

as a crash.

I have tried to tell it to "use job set up values" in the verify, but nothing happens.

Stock stays as a solid cylinder.

Also why does the stl button not work in lathe?

thanx in advance

I believe that you will only see the difference in backplot, which is more useful for 2axis lathe verification anyway than Verify.

The STL button is meant to save your verified part as an STL file. If you press it after verifying in True Solid mode, it will write an STL file.

You must drill a hole before boring it if you want the simulation to show the hole. If there is already a pre-existing hole, tell Mastercam to turn posting off for the drilling op. This way your simulation will show a hole, but the toolpath won't. Perhaps the reason your boring bar shows a crash is because MC needs to fix the shank of boring bars to appear round, not square, in Verify.
