Files DWG/ MC

hi all

when using the function to convert a dwg file to MC file :

run_dwg ("C:MCAM8DATAPRINCROM.DWG",'r',FALSE);

MC gives, by default,the same name with prefix : the path indicated in configuration and add the suffix MC8.

Well, is't possible to set the entire name (name of MC file with path)of conversion result programatically?

ksoufi would you mind makeing a statment of some kind lets us know that this is for Chook devolopment.

 

I keep thinking your posts are of a main MC problem and keep finding it is a Chook question.

 

I wish I Understood C++ better to help you but I do not.

 

I don't want to figure that all your qustions are just Chook devolopment base and would like to be able to help when I can.

I'm developping, for the first time, a chook that generate automatically NC code. My chook should generate about 500 NC files per project... All we do interactively will be done in a few seconds.

90% of job was done untill now (from 5 weeks ago) and I've some "stupid problems" to solve.

For these all my Q are about chook...

Try looking at geo_filename, geo_prefix, and geo_suffix in M_avars.h. I've used geo_filename for reading the current mc8 filename. I've never tried changing the name myself but that might be the way to go.
