Raid 5 and MC

Well just got my SCSI Raid 5 up and running with MC.

 

Well simply put at this time the hole system is faster now.

 

Way big improvment.I think I need to change my other box over the same way.

 

I will let you know if I find any thing funny on the MC side.

Huh, good to know!

There was a big discussion a while back on the merits of RAID, and if I recall we never came to a conclusion...now it sounds like you've got the evidence!

CMR for this test box I am using the following.

 

Motherboard is a MSI (Micro Star Inter)

Processer: Intel 2 gig

Ram: 1 gig DDR

Video: G4 TI 4200 128mg

Scsi card: LSI Elite 1600 dual channel with up to raid 5 support.

HD: Quntum Atlas 10k 9.1 LVD 160 drives.(Total of 5)

Also included are a CD burner & Zip Drive.(all IDE)
