Dan,

What is setting 33 at in your Haas ?

This Is your current Coordinate system. ITs on your first page

Also setting 29

It should be off. This is g91 non modal switch

For those of you who dont know, setting 33 can be Fanuc, Haas, or Yasnac

In funac mode g52 will not work. Why? I dont know.

I would like to know if it is the machine is it software of a setting, of which there is 144.

Also what year of the machine, and ver of software.

If this is a software bug, Haas can fix it.

This problem came up at at our dealer on a vf-3.

We were testing a machine with a program I wrote.

it was using ver 8 Haas post. No changes to the post

When it saw a G91 G28 Z0 command it went for the table. Lucky us we caught it. I will talk to my dealer when i get a reply here.

I had one of the first Haas vf-0's off the factory floor YEARS ago. I have always used G54 for measuring tool offsets and then all work offsets (g55,g56...)refer to g54 values. I have a file thats called zero.doc that explains tool offset and work offset ty ins. I have NEVER crashed on a HAAS using this set of rules. If more than five people want this file I'll place it on the FTP site.
